The location of Casa Paolina is fantastic, being close to major tourist sites, the airport in Florence, and the train station. It's just a short walk from Buca di Sant'Antonio, a great place for lunch.

A very pleasant stay, with the best accessability for wheelchairs. And the breakfast was excellent, best one in Italy ever!

Close to a railway station, the location was great and stunning. Local fast food option La Tana del Boia was 5 minutes walk away. The room was airy and elegant, I had an iron with ironing board, coffee and tea making equipment, and television. And I liked that it had a great view.

The room was stylish and spacious, plus it had an extra single bed that you could pull out when needed. And let's not forget the handy amenities like a hair dryer, a luxurious spa bathtub, and even a fancy bidet – that's a win! 💆♂️

The apartment was large, clean and had excellent air conditioning. We were even given a complementary bottle of wine, just like shown in the picture. It was also located on one of the main squares in town. The staff helped up locate a laundy facility very close by.
This is an apartment. The kitchen was available, but don't plan on a breakfast being provided.

Amazing location, with parking available. Exceptional reception by Roberto, who was friendly and helpful. Lift available to avoid carrying luggage up stairs. Conveniently close to Lucca music festival and other attractions, within walking distance to train station and bus drop-off point. a great choice for exploring Tuscany.

Apartment was a good size and nicely furnished - practical and minimal
Very noisy throughout the night and rooms became stuffy as opening the windows made the noise unbearable to sleep. However, the location was good. Any location within the walls would have been convenient to all the sights.

Beautiful apartment, superb location. Very comfortable, and air conditioning a life-saver with kids.
Expensive (though not more so than other hotels of a similar standard in Lucca). no change of towels or linen, which I thought strange even for an apartment.

The location of Casa Paolina Lucca is ideal, as it is in the center of the town and close to main tourist sites. You can easily explore the city by foot and find numerous restaurants nearby. the apartment building also has an elevator, making it convenient for all travelers.
Some guests have mentioned that the apartment could use some updates and maintenance, such as broken handles on doors and a lack of utensils in the kitchen.

The central location was excellent making expeditions easy to do. As Lucca is a small city, it was nice to be able to come and go from the hotel without worrying how far we would be walking each time, especially in the heat. The staff were dellightful and spoke good english and the rooms were clean and well presented. Also to recieve a bottle of wine on arrival was a delightful surprise, We would certainly consider staying at Casa Paolina again. .

The location is fabulous. The reception staff were extremely helpful, attentive and were able to assist us with travel arrangements by organising private transfers to and from Lucca. We would highly recommend this facility.
No safe in the room, but they have excellent security.

The apartment with a separate bedroom was ready for us upon arrival, and the staff was incredibly helpful, friendly, and responsive to our requests.

The best thing about Casa Paolina was the location. Right in the middle of town, also being an apartment meant that you had the option of cooking if you wanted.
The list goes on! The staff were rude and unhelpful. After being promised a rate and our credit card charged, we were then told she may of made a mistake and would have to check with the owner to see if she should charge us more! We were shown to the room, but not given and direction as to what was in the apartment (we thought the dishwasher was a washing machine because it was the only appliance in the laundry!) we were not told were to put rubbish....The first day when we went out the manager decided to enter the room without asking or telling us, and removed some kitchen items and tea and coffee supplies. When asked she was rude and defence. The bed like most in Europe was two single mattress' However like most places these were not joined together so they split during the night and left a big gap in the middle of the bed. The heating was also controlled by management, so if your room got too stuffy - bad luck - open a window! We then found that both the living room and the bed room had security camera's installed.

The location of Casa Paolina is absolutely superb and we thought it was great value for the money. You walk straight out into the heart of the walled city of Lucca, which is a charming town. On our stay in Italy, we visited several famous Tuscan villages and cities, but our teenage daughters preferred Lucca to every other place. We would definitely visit again, and we would stay at this apartment! The staff was helpful and friendly and accommodated our need to arrive after office hours. They also held our luggage for several hours after check-out.
The only "flaw" of the experience was that the air conditioning unit in one of the bedrooms wasn't working. It wasn't horribly hot, but it was stuffy. Otherwise, our apartment was great and completely suitable for our needs. It seems to have been recently updated -- and we especially appreciated the large, well-appointed bathroom.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
